Dear Captain MacGillicuddy,

I believe it is customary for prospective students seeking to follow the Way of the Warrior to address your esteemed self in order to gain admittance for this prestigous School for Heroes. It is my intention to pursue this undertaking to the best of my ability, so I believe it would be appropriate to present you with my credentials as a potential warrior.

My name, as stated at the top of this missive, is Teir(list of titles omitted), and I hail from Cadwy in the fair lands of Albion. One also had the good fortune to be born into a priviledged lifestyle. As the third son of the Baron, fifth of the name, one was raised in court under the guidance of a diverse range of tutors hired to oversee my education.

Because of this, and due to my own innate abilities and talents, I am fortunate enough to possess a breadth of knowledge and skills that many other students may not have received. This is not their fault, however. I am simply stating the truth as apparent to myself.

As such, I feel I could be an invaluable asset to your school and I would, of course, be honoured to receive any training you feel is adequate and or best suited to my personal needs.

While I fear it would be presumptuous to list any and all skills I have accumulated during my life at and near court, I would be most willing to discuss them with your esteemed self and see to which degree they correlate with the school’s views on what a Warrior should know.

After all, a life in court does not ensure that one has nothing left to learn. Your Way of the Warrior appeals to me, and despite my admittedly present skepticism regarding its implimentation in the world we find ourselves currently in. One is willing to find out if one’s skepticism is warranted.

Should you accept me into this fine institution of higher learning – and indeed, I see no reason for you not to – then I will endeavour to reciprocate your efforts on my behalf and provide you with a worthy student.

Presently, you may contact me at the email address used to send this document with, as well as at the address attached below of the hotel I am currently residing in as I no longer find myself at my parental ancestral dwelling.

With regards,
Teir of Cadwy
