Welcome All - Share in the Joys and the Trials of being a Paladin!

December 2006

Dearest friends,

As the year draws to a close, it's again time to reassess your goals and accomplishments over the past months. Paladins should think critically about what they want and what they have done. Only then can they really know what they Must Do.

We formally began this school three years ago. We've had many students over these years come and go on their own path. I hope that you all are proud of being a Paladin and will hold the dream and values ever in your heart. Be true to yourself, and live life as a Paladin.

Congratulations to Fit-Falcon for achieving his Orange Belt for his continued mission to provide food for those who hunger as well as his promotion to the Second Circle of Paladins. He is an inspiration to us all. His insight on this matter can be found on our Charity Page.

Much love,

Your circle is a bit like your grade. All who pass their entry assignments ("Fix Something") are admitted into the First Circle of Paladins. Once admitted, you've gotta earn 150 hero points to make it to the next Circle. Points are earned by completing assignments, and by other means that we'll develop later on. As you meet other Paladins on our message boards, please show due respect to those who have advanced into the higher circles.

This is one of the hardest schools at HowtoBeaHero, because it requires that you truly give of yourself freely. I won't reveal here how many points you must earn to advance to later Circles, nor how many circles there are... In me own experience I've found Paladins like things best when there's a little bit o' mystery involved. You'll find out for yourself soon enough.

The Belts are a type of "honors" system we've developed to reward those who not only complete their assignments, but show above average dedication to the Paladin' callin. If you see someone wearin' a Paladin belt, you know this is someone who went above and beyond the call of duty on at least one of their assignments. The belts rank as follows, from lowest to highest honor:

Green Belt - Wisdom
