Transolar Entertainment – Looking Forward in 2012
Lori and I established Transolar Entertainment as our game consulting business back in 1994, almost 20 years ago. We have worked on some interesting games including Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire, Shannara, online poker and bridge sites, The School for Heroes, and some casual games.
What's coming next from Transolar in 2012 and 2013?
- The School for Heroes, version 3. It will be more game-like while still helping "students" discover their Inner Hero.
- We are helping design and write an adventure game, although we can't post details yet.
- We have some fun ideas for new twists on old game genres with the "fun factor" foremost.
- We will be working to expand our Website Designs and Photographic Arts business on FAR Studio.
- We are also constantly involved in learning new things. Corey is taking advantage of some of the incredible free classes from Stanford's Computer Science Department. Lori never stops learning more about photography and Photoshop as she raises the level of her photographic arts.
We are looking forward to developing fun, shared game and Web experiences in which each of you will be an active part of the narrative. We hope all of us will have a fantastic next year and an even more amazing 2013.
FAR Studio Designs
The FAR Studio has a new design for its main page. Every week we will post a new photo and a short blog to keep you up to date with the events going on in our lives here at the Flying Aardvark Ranch. This website highlights our photographic arts and web designs.
Whether you need a portrait for a special event or to capture the memory of someone precious, FAR studio will be happy to photograph and turn that photograph into a work of art.
FAR Studio Designs is a professional web design company that makes innovative and creative websites. If you need a website that reflects your artistic talents, then FAR is the design studio for you.
AGD Interactive Releases
QGII VGA!
After years in the making, the Anonymous Game Developers Interactive released the full-color version of "Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire." (This game was designed by us and originally released in 1990 by Sierra-Online, so it's been more than a decade in the making!) Congratulations and Kudos to the Developers for this remarkable feat. It's available as a free download from their website.
